Lambda Theta Alpha Traditions
Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. has upheld its own unique traditions over the years. The organization has its own "call," hand-sign, performance of traditional salutes & party-walks (stroll), and its traditional coming-out shows to introduce new sisters. Traditions of Lambda Theta Alpha are however not limited to this given list.

Salute
A salute is a symbol of unity and respect for sisters and Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. It is an unique tradition shared by only a few in which sisters honor the accomplishments a sister or the history of how Lambda Theta Alpha came to be. Salutes include song lyrics with synchronized movements that depict the discipline within the line. The "Call"

This is a display presentation given to our friends, family, faculty, students, and fellow Greeks as an official introduction of our new sisters to the Kennesaw Campus Community as a way of showing pride to Lambda Theta Alpha and their history accompanied with their accomplishments and ambitions. |
Stroll
Also known as Party-Walking, strolling is a shared tradition with many Greek organizations. A stroll is a synchronized dance line to music that moves in a forward direction. Strolling allows sisters to demonstrate unity and pride for Lambda Theta Alpha. Hand Sign
A way of sisters around the nation showing Unity through the LTA hand-sign. the hand-signs is done in the shape of an "upside down V" in representation of "Λ" Lambda sign. Stepping
LTAs DO NOT step. Lambda Theta Alpha reserves stepping as a tradition pertaining to the Black Greek Community and therefore express our respects by not stepping. |

Goals: Scholarly excellence, empowerment of Latinas and the universal woman, cultural and political awareness, and community activism.
